August 16th (Thursday): Read the first 2 chapters in The Tell-Tale Brain and prepare for a quiz.
20th (Monday): Prepare questions for Olympians. Secrets of the Mind/Gather information on the ofactory system and brain damage and bring it to class
22nd (Wednesday) The Case Study in Qualitative research: Read the Genie case study and pp. 24-26 in your text. There will be a quiz over both. Guest from 2:45-3:30
23rd (Thursday) The Case Study - Advantages and Disadvantages
27th (Monday) Debriefing the case.

Thursday: Exam over everything that we have studied thus far from the Sociocultural perspective. The format will be MC, T/F, short answer and include 2 essays from the IB exams.

Wednesday: PSAT for the first half of class...Gender stereotypes in the second half

On Monday and Wednesday, you will be joined by a guest speaker. On Thursday, we will continue our exploration of Social Learning Theory.
Week of Sept 19th
On Monday, you will have a guest speaker (Mr. Friedman)
On Wednesday, you will be watching 2 films on Freud...part of the Mark Steele series (quite entertaining) and the other a lecture by Paul Bloom at Yale. The latter will give you an idea of what a lecture in a highly selective U.S. university is like. For this lecture, the powerpoint cannot be accessed.
On Thursday, I will be back to hear your presentations on unethical experiments. If you need to access the requirements for the assignment, go to Week of Sept 12th
Week of September 12th
On Monday, we will discuss the Social Learning theory and there will be a quiz over pgs. 119-126 (Does not include Conformity on page 126). On Wednesday before lunch, you will be joined by the Prevention Specialist. After lunch, you will be working on an upcoming powerpoint presentaton on unethical studies. Thursday, the first half of class you will be with the Prevention Specialist and the second half you will have time to complete your powerpoint presentation. Your powerpoint will be due on Thursday, Sept. 22th.
